Work from the entrance inward

Keep the main path clear and avoid creating unstable stacks. If the space is tightly packed, share photos from the doorway and describe anything hidden behind larger items.

Watch for mixed materials

Storage areas often hold ordinary household goods beside paint, automotive fluids, propane cylinders, batteries, pesticides, and electronics. Separate those items before loading so they can be evaluated properly.

Access changes the work

Attic stairs, low ceilings, narrow shed doors, long walks to the truck, gate widths, and storage-facility rules affect labor and timing. Mention them during the estimate conversation.

Use simple labels

A three-part system works well: keep, remove, and ask first. Place the labels where they can be seen without moving the item.
