Let the team know whether the material is vegetative, household, construction-related, metal, furniture, or another type. Mixed piles can require extra sorting and may follow different disposal rules.

Contractor debris is different from routine curbside waste

The City of Biloxi says contractors hired for repairs or alterations are responsible for taking their debris to a proper legal facility. A private hauling quote should therefore identify construction or demolition material rather than assuming municipal pickup will accept it.

Keep access safe

Unlock gates, identify soft ground, overhead lines, septic areas, and narrow driveways, and keep children and pets away from the loading area.

After a storm

Do not mix chemicals, batteries, propane cylinders, spoiled food, electronics, and vegetative debris. Follow current City of Biloxi and Harrison County instructions because emergency collection rules can differ from normal service.
